WOBURN - Neil Entwistle was sentenced to life in prison today for killing his wife and daughter, but Priscilla Matterazzo said she and her family received a sentence of life without Rachel and Lillian in January, 2006.

"We were sentenced without the benefit of a trial and a jury," she said during victim impact statements this morning.

"I have lost two generations of my family," Matterazzo said.

During the sentencing, several women were carrying flowers, roses and lillies.

Rachel's stepfather, Joe Matterazzo, told Neil that although he has been judged by a jury, that "one day, you will face the ultimate judgement."

Jerome Souza, Rachel's older brother, said no one will ever know how Lillian Rose would have grown up.

In sentencing Entwistle, Judge Diane Kottmyer called the crimes "incomprehensible."

"It is clear and easy to comprehend the magnitude of the loss and the pain Rachel's friends and family feel," she said.

Entwistle did not address the court before he was sentenced. Before he left the courtroom, he glanced at his parents and mouthed something to them. He will begin his sentence immediately.
